It’s been a while, but I’m back and ready to talk all things web design!

As my journey in web design has evolved, I have wanted more creative freedom from template-based platforms. ShowIt came out and was all I could have dreamed of and MORE!

I sat down and thought about the endless reasons why designing on ShowIt has become my absolute favorite, but I have narrowed it down to the top three!

DESIGN FREEDOM

This is the biggest difference between ShowIT and many other platforms. It truly is 100% customizable! There is nothing I have not been able to do design-wise. From embedding widgets to placing text exactly where I want it to crafting customized contact forms to meet my client’s needs to adding hover and scroll effects, the opportunities are endless. As a designer, this allows me the freedom to create a website that is exactly what I envisioned in my head.

OH wait! I cannot forget to mention the design abilities are also endless on the mobile version. Many platforms end up taking your desktop design and spitting out a “mobile optimized” version. It never is exactly what I wanted it to look like. I would have clients ask for revisions on the mobile site and my ability to edit it was so limited. It drove me wild! ShowIT allows you to edit just about everything on the mobile version separate from the desktop version. This is a designers dream come to true.

2. WORDPRESS INTEGRATION

ShowIt has an AMAZING blog feature powered by WordPress. We all know that the amazing SEO of WordPress is very attractive to many business owners and bloggers. ShowIT and WordPress combined their strengths and created this amazing integration. I cannot speak highly enough about the beauty of this feature. I am writing this blog post via my WordPress portal, but once I click publish it automatically feeds into the beautiful template that I custom designed on ShowIT. I have the SEO features of WordPress for the blog with the design that I envisioned! What is better than that?

3. SUPPORT

I cannot speak highly enough of the customer support that ShowIT has. They are available via chat Monday-Friday until about 8 pm PST, which is amazing! Sometimes the ability to quickly chat someone for help while continuing to work and not being placed on a crazy long hold on the phone is amazing and very efficient for someone who is constantly busy.

Support means a lot when it comes to website platforms. If your site goes down, there is a glitch, or you simply cannot figure something out, they are always on hand to help out and very quickly. They have been great anytime I have needed their help. From sending me screenshots of how to do things to sending a video walkthrough specific to the question asked, they have truly been nothing short of amazing. In addition, their online help desk portal is also great. Even if you don’t want to speak to anyone directly, they have the majority of your questions answered in their help center.
