I am so excited to launch a new initiative to highlight the great work of my clients! This “Spotlight Saturday” series will be posted a few Saturdays a month on both my Instagram account (@kyanniellodesign) and the blog!

Let’s get started!

The first business I wanted to highlight is Whimsical Events. These ladies have been a dream to work with! Before I show you what we’ve done together, let me tell you a bit about them!

Whimsical Events is a full-service event planning & floral design company based out of Houston, Texas founded by Karli & Melanie! Their story to becoming business partners two years ago is quite ironic. Karli hired Melanie to help her on her very own wedding day. They each had two different event planning companies at the time. After hitting it off and keeping in touch, they got together one night for a few glasses of wine and came up with the great idea of merging their talents, combining their businesses, and launching under the new brand that is Whimsical Events.

As their business has grown, they have added Christine and Andrea to their team, who are two Associate Planners and this small, but mighty group of four are making their client’s special events go off without a hitch!

I connected with Karli and Melanie and I immediately knew I would love to work with them! Let’s face it—two motivated and kind women creating beautiful work and truly excited to launch their new brand, what else could I want!

As they were creating a completely new brand, they needed a logo and website, so thats where I came in!

They wanted a fun, vibrant, eclectic, colorful look with a floral component involved. (Melanie specializes in floral design!!). I worked hard on understanding their brand, reviewing photos of their past events, and learning more about them and then got to work!

During the design process, I remember saying out loud to my friend in the room how much fun their logos were to deisgn! The fun element they wanted in the logo was coming out for me in the design process and I couldn’t be more excited to share the designs with Melanie & Karli.

After we concluded the logo design process, we dug deep into the web design process! Their photos are phenomenal—colorful, on brand, and just simply beautiful to look at! This always makes it fun as a web designer. I have a lot of material and visuals to work off of and to highlight. I incorporated the watercolor florals from their logo subtly into the website to tie it all together and incorporate that floral element that is near and dear to Melanie & Karli.

This whimsical duo is a source to be reckon with in the event planning and floral design market. I love having the opportunity to continue to work with them on various other design projects for their brand and look forward to watching all they achieve in the coming months and years!
